Marion coordinated the New Enterprise Incentive Scheme (NEIS) for Loch LSH through which more than 120 people were provided with business management training and business mentoring support each year. Marion herself completed the NEIS course in 1994 and successfully ran a business involved in exhibitions and major events. This combined with her considerable experience in training roles with major companies, allowed Marion to provide NEIS scheme applicants and participants with valuable training, advice and assistance. In her role as a Workplace Assessor in Small Business Management she assessed the feasibility of over 2000 new business ideas and assisted with the training and mentoring of some 250 new businesses through their first year. Many today are extremely successful small business owners with turnovers far exceeding expectations.
